Viewing

Viewing can be arranged over video call or in person.  Please only arrange a viewing if you have first ensured that you are ready and able to have a cat in your home.

Health Checks and Vaccinations.

All Kittens have their first check with our local Vets at 9 weeks for a health review. This includes a full check including eyes, ears and heart murmurs, overall health and their first vaccination. They are then seen and examined again by a Vet at 12 weeks, given their second vaccination and microchip insertion

Insurance.

Every Kitten leaves with 4 weeks free insurance with PetPlan.  We use and highly recommend this company.

After this it is your responsibility to renew or take out further insurance for your Kitten. Kittens are especially prone to jumping and falling so we do recommend you do this for at least their first year.

Collection

We are based in Cornwall U.K.  We do offer a delivery service for a reasonable fee or will work with your choice of courier if required.

Price and payment

Price available on enquiry.

Please only arrange a viewing if you are willing to pay the agreed price.

Reserving your Kitten or Cat

Once you have had a viewing appointment (via video call) if you would like to reserve a kitten we require a non-refundable deposit of £200 within 24 hours.

Feeding

We feed all our cats and kittens a raw diet from kiezebrink a trusted high quality raw supplier with excellent delivery and customer service.

We recommend you order food before collecting your kitten for their best health and if you would like to change the food introduce it very slowly after they have settled in with you. The stress of transition to a new home can result in an upset tummy so it is not the best time to begin immediately. We have begun a partnership with KatKin, a company that offers high quality cooked meat in convenient pouches and can arrange a free trial of this food for your kitten(s).

Can my cat go outside?

British Shorthair Cats are very happy indoor cats.  We will provide information on ways to keep them happy and entertained. They do enjoy the variety of a cat proof garden or catio.

We do not recommend free roaming outside as they have no road sense, plus are more likely to get worms, injuries and are at risk of theft unless you have a very safe local environment.

Can I breed one litter from them?

Our kittens are Registered Non- Active - which means not for breeding, though if you are a like minded breeder we will consider an Active Registration if discussed in advance.

Ownership and liability

The health, nutrition and welfare of the cat or kitten is your responsibility once you have picked your Kitten up from our home.  We will of course give you all our support and guidance with this

Liability

All our Kittens undergo two health checks with Vets at 9 and 12 weeks.

We take the health and wellbeing of our kittens extremely seriously and rely on the Vet to identify any health problems or deformities during their  Health Checks.  We weigh and monitor their health throughout their time with us, make sure they are feeding and thriving and do everything we can to ensure a happy and healthy kitten for you.
